I want to travell to Thailand and I 'd like to know if I can rent a room than a hotel stay?
I think I ll stay there for a couple of months, I want to be independend-but also safe:)-My vacation starts in November (2008) and end until April (2009) Which is the best time to visit the country? How the time and the moon above? How much would I cost bungallo or rent a room (if possible)? Are there banks in a 24hs service to pick up money with a credit card? Which is the best island to visit once I do not want more tourists around? Is it possible I can swim as February? How much does a drink cost an average bar / night club? I come from southern Europe .. I think have any problems with the food eaten there? If I decide to visit China, the Philippines or Vietnam, how much a (Airlines) ticket will cost? How safe will live alone in a house there? How much does it cost to rent a bike or a car there? Is it really that soft drugs are legal in Thailand?

I stayed in a hostel room off Khao San Road for 100 baht a night but it was very small, very dirty, with public baths and public toilets. All in my room has 2 cots and a fan and that is all it really fit and you can hear your neighbors right next door, the walls are very very thin. Are there banks in a 24hs service to pick up money with a credit card? **** Not that I know, but there are cash machines everywhere so if you can use the ATM machine, I'm not sure what kind of credit / debit card you have though. I brought american express and they do not do it anywhere, but visas are very common. Which is the best island to visit once I do not like so many tourists around? Is it possible I can swim eg February I **** think phi phi island is the best island but very touristy. Koh larn recommend that if you do want a lot of tourists around but still a fun island. Drinks are not too cheap in the bars / night clubs, only to store … in the bars and clubs they are about 100-150 baht. Stores are about 25-70 baht. You think I have any problems with the food eaten there? **** No, the best food I've ever been in my life. Its healthier than most foods in the United States at least. If you have problems with food thai food, with tons of western restaurants such as pizza places, mcdonalds etc. If I decide to visit China, the Philippines or Vietnam, how much a (Airlines) ticket will cost? **** dont know, never visited any of them but the Philippines is the only one I want. It all depends on who you book the tickets through. This is probably is cheaper if you booked it online before arrival. How safe will live alone in a house there? **** Very safe, safer than the USA How much does it cost to rent a bike or a car there? Is it really that soft drugs are legal in Thailand? **** I rented a motorcycle and they are between 150-300 baht a day and most of them need to leave your passport with them. No drug is legal in Thailand and if a cop does not like them chest only because you is not thai or because they think they can get money from you. Thais are generally nicer than most countries, but would my time in law there. Most people there to welcome foreigners but not many cops can and some people who do not. They do seem really care about marijuana but as I said, would my chance. If you are just hanging out around and keeping yourself, locals used to care most of the time and its pretty easy to find (you have many people in the streets and beaches asking you if you want to buy some). I would just go walking down the street smoking anything if you know what I mean
