vacation in Cebu -> pocket money?
Hey =]... I'm not in the Philippines for almost 7 years now, and im planning to go back to cebu this summer, and I'll be staying there for about 5-6 weeks .... Was 1000 Canadian dollars (around 41, 500 PHP) enough for a pocket money? or is missing time? ~ I dont have to worry about where I'm staying because we still have homes there (so i deff. Not spending my money there ..) but I am planning to stay within a few resorts for a couple of days (ie plantation bay / Shrangri-La or Cebu beach club) ~ I'm planning to go to Bohol / watch and manila ~ I dont plan to eat out every day but do not plan to eat a lot = D ~ and of course, most of the money is going shopping So enough money ... if not. Can anyone estimate how much should I bring? Thanks = D
If you are going to plantation bay or shangrila it rip in your pocket. a night in Plantation itself bay is about P8000 a night and that the cheapest room and that does not include food or any water sport activities. The food was sooo expensive and I paid the dollar when you went I was there. Serious for a meal is almost as P1000. The hot dog is the cheapest P250 hehe. Anyway, shangrila is about the same price. Its only worth it if you bring a lot of money:) If you go to Manila 41 500 is not, you'll spend your money there like water so becareful. Im going to the Philippines next month in Cebu, Bohol, Cagayan and Camiguin my destination. Im not even going to Manila just cause too expensive due to my plane stopping stop there lol. I'm bringing in $ 3,500 to me that P148, 750 and my parents have vacation homes there too. Im bringing a lot because I stay there for 1 month and I want to do more shopping:) You should really bring at least 3,500 Canadian dollars to really really enjoy your vacation! You may bring less but you going to have to limit yourself! Its always better to bring more just incase. I went to the Philippines last year for 3 weeks and i havent was there for 6 yrs & 1 month, I brought only P73, 500 and I was shocked by how expensive it is in the Philippines such as the old days. My parents covered me in almost all the time:) so I am safe:) Have a good trip! Enjoy!
