Marco Polo or Hilton Hotel?
Marco Polo, Davao or Hilton, Cebu City? which one is better? and why?
Marco Polo Davao or Hilton Cebu City, BETWEEN THE TWO ONLY which one is better and why?
I would choose Hilton Cebu, not because it is better, but only because I hate the other.
Marco Polo Davao treats guests like potential terrorists. Just as well that we were guests of the government when I went there, when Davao was making a bid to host the AdCongress, and did not suffer these indignities. But I saw other guests who did not only have to pass thru metal detectors, they were also bodily searched. It was not done to suspicious-looking persons, I saw them doing it to all!
I promised myself I will not ever stay at Marco Polo Davao if I were to visit on my own. Even when I liked the hotel room and its facilities. Nothing spectacular, though.
Marco Polo Cebu is another story. They did a very good refurbishing of the old Cebu Plaza, and they did much much much better than the old Cebu Plaza Hotel.
