Are White Sands, horn, Shangri-La Mactan good beaches to go near Cebu?
I was considering going to Cebu and was wondering beaches are the best. I have heard White Sands, horn, Shangri-La Mactan but I'm not sure if they are really nice beaches or not. Anybody Will have input into some really nice beaches near the island of Mactan?
Try Maribago Bluewater (near the city, enough reasonable rates), Costabella (So so relief), Badian (beautiful but pricey, remote), and Li Island Hotel (limited amenities, remote), Cebu White Sands, Plantation Bay (overpriced imo), Sumilon (Amazing but remote). Why not try to Bohol? The beaches are better ways. Try Blue Sky (no direct access to the shore), Bohol Beach Club (large ish old beach resort), Alona Palm (pricey), as well as a few others you should check. There's a lot of great beaches in the Philippines who are not so commercialized and noted. As said an answer, check out Negros Oriental. You can stay in one of the resorts in Dauin such as Reef, Thalatta, etc. Then hire a boat to take you on Apo Island (A world heritage site). There's even a beach resort called Apo Island Apo Island Beach Resort. Think rustic, no electricity or running water. View or agoda asia travel for a list of resorts and rates of each province or area. You can find some of the lowest rates online. Do not book directly with the resort. Cebu is a good destination. I just think a few other provinces offer a lot more in terms of sand and water quality, landscape interest, marine life, adventure, etc. Why stick to the tried and tested when you can explore the "undiscovered".
