Philippines continues to Attract More BPO firms
Contrary to reports and some statements indicating recent downturn of the call center industry, Philippines 'Business Process Outsourcing is far from pure as an outsourcing location. Despite reports that the BPO sector in Bacolod is pure, it continues to attract more thanks to the company to his great and wonderful business environment, says CatchFriday Enterprise. Many of the Business Process Outsourcing firms are developing its Philippines business. CathFriday Enterprise as well, has appointed James Pitt as Head of Operations and has just signed a Canadian client. Pitt has recently completed the construction of a large website-building sector in the U.S., getting it ready for seed funding by using a range of online and offline channels. He also developed a portal to a leading Italian food and wine site with a mixture of voice and online work. He has worked at a leading UK-based service company to build and settle its Customer Relationship Management system.

PinoyBusiness also reports that Salmat, an Australian-based BPO firm that is in the country since 1996 has decided to put up a 800-seat facility in McKinley Hill in Taguig City, their first major investment in the Philippines as part of the move to higher end IT support services. The center is operating with 100 seats, but general manager of the company's strategy Hadcroft Philip said they are doing mostly transactional services who served in the Philippines market.
