Philippines Why not use the international standard when naming storms?
The world uses a standard when The naming Cyclones and typhoons. See why the Philippines is required to confuse us all and storms call a few different names? I am constantly asked by friends. "what storm you are talking about the storm int .... or storm PI?"
Gerald Bingo! That is same question I asked for years now. The only advantage is that they come alphabetically. For me it is confusing so hearing about a strong hurricane on CNN and after hearing something else every PAGASA - perhaps it has something to do with the notion crab PAGASA where it's own name. (Makes me sick).
