If most African Americans are proud of their heritage, then why not to hear rhythms from Africa?

For example, My family is from Puerto Rico, although it is said that the Puerto Rican have a large amount of African blood in our DNA, including the Taino Indians, and Spanish, more of the African culture is found in Puerto Rican culture, than African American culture, like music for example has many African origin as instrument musical, with dancing, food, and even for some Puerto Ricans who looked African, but the sound when they talking.Joe Spanish Bataan, a famous African / Filipino American was born in New York City, but learned a lot of his culture when hanging around in the Bronx Puerto Ricans, and Jamaicans on the island when the vacation.African Americans come from a colorful and rich culture, but in my opinion they do not receive enough, everything now is hip hop, r & bI like hip hop and r & b, but African cultures have a longer history and a better meaning.I grew up with many African Americans, have not met one fascinated their African origin.

You must be joking? Most - African americans no idea where they come from Africa! when the slaves where brought here They are prohibited from speaking their language and their culture Practicing and as a result of their culture died by the time which is why they create a new culture here in America from their old customes and beliefs taken away from them, come on people! should know better than asking questions like this!
