What's the difference between a Japanese Kamikaze of WWII and the Iranian Islamic Jihadi students today?

7000 students enroll in Iran's Isfahan to fight Israel Seven thousand university students from the central Iranian city of Isfahan on Monday registered to fight Israel, the semi-official Fars news agency reported. The registration came a day after supreme leader of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a religious decree saying anyone died in fighting in Israel and in defense of Gaza would be a martyr. http://english.people.com.cn/90001/90777/90854/6564427.html As the Thunder God Corps will officially come having in October, 1944, Vice-Admiral Takijiro Onishi requested permission to use the bomb-laden offensive Fighters a Kamikaze in his new command in the Philippines. He received the consent to the provision that all participants are volunteers. The stage is now set for parallel programs suicide attack: the Thunder God and the Kamikazes. http://www.wtj.com/articles/kamikaze/

Idealogically there is little difference. The difference is the actual method of attack is used. The Japanese followed the warrior code of honor "Bushido", and only attacked military targets. They gave their lives in defense of what they believe and only as a last resort. The Islamic suicide bomber uses their attacks on civilians and as an offensive measure against those who they see as an enemy, and not always even in their homeland.
