What is the one China Policy and has relations with the Philippines?
I've heard that a principle that there is one China and that mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are all part of China. But I also heard that it is also some foreign policy matters in the Philippines (and possibly other countries) to be a man please tell me what the relationship between a-china and the Philippines?
The One-China Policy is China's hammer – it uses the threat of strengthening trade relationship and continued to pressure other countries to not recognize Taiwan. The Philippines is of course close to Taiwan and be normal political relations with a nation of 13 million people in his back yard, but because of China's One-China Policy, Taiwan goes unrepresented in the UN (the largest country in the world no seats) and can not have normal diplomatic relations. Is not only apply to the Philippines – this is worldwide.
