Where to get a good day holidays in the Philippines?
I want to know where is a good place for a holiday with us, I would like beach holiday in many busy areas not too quiet but not laddish louts, great place to shop & scuba diving, good architecture, good religion cathedrals etc nice area hotel (not the top class value for money) & Good restuarants etc. And how do I get there from Bangkok best route, flight low cost plane, maps heard it so many beautiful islands but some very quiet.
Based on what you want to see and enjoy you do not at least two options; Panglao island, Bohol - they have nice resorts and reasonable room rates, good food, not too quiet, the oldest church is Phils located in the Bohol Baclayon Church. Although Puerto Galera is the diving center of the Visayas but Phils offer more diving sites and many wonderful dive spot. Nice food and offers also from different exotic foreign cuisine. You can also choose from the not too quiet resort in crowds. Cebu is the shopping capital south and there are lots of them. when you are in cebu make sure to grab a copy of "what to cebu in" from your hotel or talk to the staff of the hotel for local tips. you can google to cebu and there are too many places to go to cebu. if you have limited time only focus on Cebu City and Lapu Lapu City. the oldest street in the USA is Colon Street there are also many shops and large department stores in the area. Although the area may have a historical significance but it is disappointing that no building with major architectural significance to Colon street. Nice food is mainly the area but be sure to visit the venerable class for safety issues. From Bangkok to book a flight to Cebu and be sure to have hotel and airport transfer to hotel accommodations. You can get an international rent a car services such as rarely, Budget, provident etc to go around Cebu if needed. Rent a car service is not self-drive Although it is driver driven the rate is reasonable. getting personal rent a car is a good thing for your trip is relaxed and safe as well. Finally, be careful.
