Where should an American, without connections Filipino, go to help victims of Ondoy?
I am a Floridian who has no connection, so no knowledge, local agencies, the Philippines. Only I was looking at video of the devastation there and living in a place myself to get tropical storms and Hurricanes, I know that the speed of relief that can be gotten to the actual victims, is very important so I wondered what would be the best charity that can take an American credit card donation? Preferably one without layers of bureaucracy to go through. I've seen many listed but I'm not familiar with it so can I use the help of local people knowledge. Like the American Red Cross is due? Thanks for your help and truly want a speedy recovery for people who have suffered so severely.
