Applying for a job at a coffee shop in the Philippines?
Applying for a job at a coffee shop in the Philippines? Is possible to receive a coffee shops here in the Philippines as a barista without having any educational background or experience in making coffee? im talking about the shop coffee of starbucks, figaro, coffee bean, etc. Also please give me tips on how to have a good chance of getting a job.
U.S., resume is not even necessary when you apply as a barista in coffee shops because it is an entry level position. The manager will go to your skills in making coffee instead of your study in college but in the Philippines, it seems that a college degree is often the # 1 requirement on the list. However, it does not hurt to test for all the barista, if accepted, will experience training. Do not start serving coffee immediately. You make some Readings on how to make their coffee and all the do and don'ts. When you get done with that, you need to know how to run the register and then you are teamed with their experiences barista needed to give you the hands on training. If you have the right attitude and Intrapersonal skills, you can get accepted. In your interview, be prepared for questions like "What do you like about coffee?", "What you know about coffee?", & "Why you want to work with Starbucks / Figaro others? "
