What is the average salary of a sales person in Philippine mall and other stores?
I got a wash and dry haircut in a mall cebu for 120 pesos. (That's about 2.50 USD. In New York City I would pay at least 40 USD for the same service.) On the other hand, I went to a local fashion store selling bracelets for 250 pesos. A store called Celine (I'm guessing it is a local company) sells glass day for 600 pesos. The haircut costs less than fashion accessories here in the Philippines? How much the mall people make here in the Philippines? Is it enough for daily life - food, transportation, and rent? Want people who work at the mall be afford the same things they sell in the mall? (Not including foreign brand and products.) I knew if I worked at the Gap back in NYC, I want to be able to afford a reasonable amount of stuff from the Gap, even after setting the first money for food and transportation costs.
As they say you can not compare apples from oranges right? Instead it performs a lot of common sense make apples to apples comparison. Comparison of miserable economic giant like us in other countries the word is not something funny to tell time. Have a great New Year!
