What are the reasons why foreign music dominated Philippine Music NEW!
We know the fact that the Philippines foreign music dominated the music charts (especially in MYX and MTV) before ... so just give me reasons why the type of music are the wishes of the Filipinos ... better IF THIS ANSWER QUESTION too: Today, We also know that OPM to exceed foreign music ... so my question is ... why OPM dominated these days?
OPM music of the past decade (70's 90's) is way way better than the current batch. it's just that the new Bands now have commercialized their music to suit the needs of the market (almost young). but they are common compared with earlier musical activities. Foreign music is played more often for less then local artists and also record of foreign music in the past also much much better than today. We now have a counterpart for the Eraserheads, Juan dela Cruz band, salt, rico blanco-led Rivermaya, Yano, and Neocolours. even solo artists such as basil, Hajji and rico j. are different levels compared to singers today.
