Which brand of violin in the Philippines is the best?
I'm looking for a great 4 / 4 violin begginner's with low cost but quality is still in there. Honestly do not know how to play violin, I am more on guitar. I was fascinated violinist how to create such a classical music such as Sebastian Bach ... Coming from an experienced violinist, especially here in manila, what would you suggest?> Main> giuseppi> craftsman> Parrot> Bird of iskailark (China)> Fernando are the only cheap brands available here in manila, I hope to have a reasonable reply asap ... I read on the net that a beginner can buy a cheap one, then upgrade it later when he masters the basic ... I really want to play this wonderful instrument and I believe that a trip to a musical education starts with good instrument ... thanks ...
Well, I Welcome to Australia but I can tell you some thing: Stay away from skylark ... very bad; or used these violins are the worst in the world LOL I'm not familiar with other brands; they likely to sell under a different name here. Buy it from a proper violin shop if you can, so it is set up correctly ... not from a guitar store; they know about without the violins. For a beginner, it does not really matter what you play ... you are going to sound pretty bad for the first six months anyway. After you got the hang It can put in another decent string. strings make a big difference to the sound of the violin, it is not like a guitar (I play a bit of that too). The cheap violins come with strings awful eligible for the factory. Even a $ 10,000 violin would sound horrible with cheap string. If you can afford pay them, get a good set of strings such as "Dominants"; that will make any of cheap violins sound 100% better. You are amazed difference sound. Most cheaper violins sound pretty much the same but they all sound better with string. See what the violin shops sell and ask for a presentation. You need a teacher ... not try to teach yourself the violin. Here's a site that I found very helpful: http://violinmasterclass.com/mc_menu. php PS. The Chinese make some great instruments; not be postponed by a violin made in China.

Good Morning from Okinawa,

I moved to Okinawa about a year ago and I work for a Sanshin shop where we produce and sell Sanshin.
Sanshin is Okinawa’s traditional musical instrument with a long history and it’s very popular among tourists and those who play the ukulele or guitar, in particular take great interest in our Sanshin. We would like to invite you to browse our website http://www.asovivasanshin.com to discover more about the instrument.

With this email we would like also to remind you that 5% of all our sales till the end of April will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross to help our people in the North of Japan.
