Why are Asians get a better version of the Corolla / Camry?
I drive a 2006 Corolla S (Canadian version). When my father and I visited friends working in an outsourcing company in the Philippines in September, the vehicles used to fetch us to the airport is a Corolla (call they 'Altis' there). Unlike the North American Corolla, which is good, and very dull looking economy, the Asian Corolla usually a Lexus disguised as a Corolla. It is even better looking in my father's 2007 Camry. Oh, and if their Corolla was really a mini-Lexus, their version of the Camry is even far more luxurious (diff rear / front end). When I flew back home, I realized how ugly my car. I just wonder why Americans and Canadians With crappy versions of Japanese cars? IT Fair!
U.S. has restrictions on emissions. I'm not sure in Canada.
