It is safe to travel to the Philippines?
I really want to go to the Philippines, particularly Bohol to see the chocolate hills and the tarsier keep they have there. Obviously I would also igasta time just beautiful beaches and see some for the country. It is safe? I read the FCO website to tell them against travel here because of the threat of terrorist kidnapping and so I really want to go but find a bit of a worry. Any first hand knowledge is appreciated. If it makes any discrepancies me a white male from the uk. Thank you.
The Philippines has to be a lot safer than many parts of the U.S.. I traveled many times and never felt threatened. I advise against wearing too much jewelry or flasing a thick wallet. Nabbing Mobiles (cell phones) is the latest craze so be careful how you look after you. Do not be a horrible tourist and always remember that it is their country and you are their guest. Something you going to see that you are from the UK they do not play cricket and so could not know about the white wash we netted out to you. c'mon Aussie c'mon ——- Sorry husband.
