The Philippines has recently gained itself a bad reputation because of all the political on-event in the country. Clashes between rebel forces and government, rumors of fate, the state of emergency declarations, and even suspected links to al Quaeda – no admiration for Some Western governments can not help but release travel advisories against visiting the country.

Before / before you decide against a trip to Manila, you should note that newspapers do not always provide an accurate picture of a situation. Sensationalism is their business, and sensationalized news is what you usually get.

Manila is located on the northern island of Luzon. The wall of the terrorist is located in the southernmost part of the Philippines – two large islands away – in Mindanao. The status of emergency was declared in fact civilians, but usually continue to live their normal life even if it is in place.

Malls abound in meters. You can find anything from designer brands in different but very cheap brand. Food is not a problem. Filipino food, American fast food, Japanese food – you can find anything there.

Filipinos are very hospitable by nature. You will be surprised at how friendly and helpful most of them. This is really a different other forms of promise – they seem to treat the Caucasians in a much better way.

Cost of living and travel is so much lower than west. So if you have dollars or euros, chances are you'll have no problem availing services that meet your criteria. Hotels and other accommodations is abundant and easy to find.

If this is the beach you want, then you can opt to go outside the city. The nearest beach is may reach about 4 hours from the city. You can take a plane to another part of the country if you want to see more.

If you are traveling to alone or with your family, Manila is a great place to visit. It is a rich cultural experience for you.
