philippines visa extension cost

My wife is a foreigner on a visitor visa B1-2 in the U.S. he would have exhausted his 6 month limit
(multiple entry) and the trip "step out "in Canada and then return for another entry to the U.S. under the same visa category, B-2, the visitors for you how many months the official entry allows. Is it feasible or not he will go all the way back to his home country (Philippines)? I knew that if he files for an "extension", is not guaranteed accepted, and the cost is almost $ 400 on file. Any other options?
No, that dog will not hunt. The CBP Officer will immediately see what happened (he was trying to live in the United States on a tourist visa) and repudiate him back to USA. Then, the next time he tries see him get a very hard time because there will be a notation in his file that he refused entry.
