Who is responsible for burning down Batangas City, Philippines, during World War II?
I research the history of my father a Jesuit seminary, where he remembers the town – either it is or Lipa City, Batangas – was burned down and only the ancestral home church and my cousin remained. The Japanese killed in the American Jesuit priest, and let the Filipinos go free (friends of my father went home, some of them to be massacred in their family). Was it when the Japanese invaded after Pearl Harbor or when the Americans were winning World War II and ends?
from making the word search tools and Lipa City Batanga also using WWII so all I have in the Philippines gained independence in 1946 from Japan after American forces and Filipino joined together to run out Japanese. I would assume the Japanese are burning and murdering as a way to control people or to retaliate for the assault.
