Places to visit in Mindanao?
I will be going to Davao in 3 weeks and I hire a car to visit customers in the region, but would also to see some sites, Christina Falls is on the list along with a few spots in Davao, and I was wondering if you had any other suggestions that would be fun, is there any amusement parks there, or places I should just completely avoid and why? Thanks for all the help!
Just avoid the Basilan, Sulu, julu, Sultan Kudarat around the area is not safe if you are a foreigner. But they are all way to the end of Mindanao which is close to Malaysia. Anyways, try to visit The Cagayan de Oro (river rafting) and Camiguin .. Especially Camiguin. Camiguin has waterfalls, Santo Nino cold springs, macau springs, soda springs, hot springs located near the volcano, white island, mantigue island, you can also go hiking to the volcano. Try to rent a scooter so that you can go around the island. Camiguin is a small island, a paradise! Away from civilization as Manila (too crowded and too polluted). Tagbilaran does not have many cars and they dont a bus. People use bicycles, multicabs, scooter to get around the island thats why its not polluted. To get there you need to ride a ferry boat coming from Balingoan (between Cagayan de Oro and Butuan City). When you go to Camiguin vine resort stay and they offer water activities like jetski, banana boat, parasailing, scuba diving at reasonable prices.
