Cell Plan for SE Asian traveler?
What cell + data service plan do you use if you are going to be traveling throughout Southeast Asia on a regular basis?
I will be based in Manila, Philippines but doing business on a regular basis in Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, China and Malaysia. I figured Sinaporeans would be astute SE Asia travelers.
I use a phone for 1000 minutes per month and check email, weather, Google maps, stock quotes frequently on my current Blackberry (in the U.S.A.).
What cellphone plan (and of what company) do you think would make the most sense for me? I am trying to figure out a plan with reasonable costs. Thanks!!!
Try Globe for philippines service. You might want to look into skype for u.s. service. I think you can have u.s. callers call your u.s. skype number (locally) and then that would transfer via skype to your local philippines service so no one has to pay long distance fees.
