What wood chips that I can use to smoke and bacon taste … in that I can easily find in Cebu?

Hi guys! I want to try my hand at making homemade bacon and I read for better bacon, hickory smoked, is the best. Unfortunately, I'm from Cebu, Philippines and I do not think We have hardwood hickory here … (Or maybe it's called differently in our language, I do not know.) Anyway, I wonderring, is there any other hardwood I can substitute … one that is common and easily found in Cebu? (Like mango tree perhaps? Hehe) or is there any other way to smoke bacon without using hard wood at all? If that is the case, what should I add to give it more flavor when smoking my bacon?

Your rights in the U.S. they use fruitwood to smoke bacon, such as apple and cherry other, nut in the woods like pecan and walnut, hickory is the most popular, but as I worked in Singapore, there is not native to South Asia. Papaya trees, mango trees and other fruitwoods, not refined or other risks with a sap on them, even just general firewood cut into small pieces, and refrigerate in a bit of water and added to the fire to create enough smoke to your taste bacon products.
