Debunking the Myth of Freedom and Democracy in America in Facts & Overseas Experience
• "America is the epitome of democracy, the best form of government the world has ever known. The world envies our form of government by the people. "
• "America is the freest nation on Earth."
Rides • "In America we have something called freedom which no other country and they want."
• "It's a free country. "
• "Everyone at the rest of the world dreams of coming to America."
The cherished fanatical beliefs of America and its propagandists have no real basis in fact or reality, yet they are chanted by many Americans, their media and education system as a religion and set of Gospel truths that are universally agreed and undisputed. So these are the opposite to a free-thinking and truth-seeking mind.
This is not an essay promoting anti-Americanism, but only exposes the truth. We compare vs. reality fiction, reality vs. BS, truth vs. propaganda, and experience compared to the wrong opinion. Truth is our bottom line, not agreement.
What really revealing is that only the Americans who never left their country for long believed in the myths, but American expat who lived in different countries or Maverick (including me) I DO NOT, but in fact KNOW that they are hogwash. Now, what does that tell you??
As a matter of fact, America was alone in believing that this is the epitome of freedom and democracy. The rest of the world does not share the myths about America. Even fascist regimes, dictators and terrorists does not see America as a "free country" (against what Hollywood and the U.S. media misportray). Instead, they see America as an evil Imperial Empire trying to take away the freedom of the rest of the world, and attempting to dominate and control all the people who take advantage of their wealth! (They will Native American Indians, so why do not they have the rest of the world too?)
(Note that one considers themself without that " bad people ". Even Hitler and Stalin did not see themselves as" bad "or" bad guys ". They found excuses and reasons to justify in their own minds any evil that they made the "right".)
The facts that shatter the cherished American myths about her themselves, exposing them for what they really are - pure self-propaganda. So, America is NOT confront the facts, just reject them, for they destroy propaganda of the delusions and illusions to hold the country together morale.
By that, I ask: Why does America do not forget the myth that it is the only country in the world with "freedom" and indoctrinates its citizens feel it, when it is not supported by any facts, do not agree through the rest of the world or even by well-traveled Americans?
We will get to the later reason.
The myths about freedom and democracy are programmed to the American public, who taught them songs like religious mantras without thinking or critical analysis. No question is a form of propaganda.
Some think outside the box and was able to bypass their programming viewed by the lie of lies. However, there is a price to pay for in knowing the truth, which in this case is to be subject to ridicule and contempt of the common man's thinking in not conforming to his religious fanaticism, all in the name of patriotism and pride. So much for "freedom".
Let's katayin the myths and see how they match up in fact, commmon sense and real life experiences:
1) "America is the epitome of freedom and democracy for the world to emulate. This is the ideal form of government by the people that the world envies. "
We get to freedom later, but for now, let's address the democracy issue. Technically, A democracy is defined as a "majority rule". Hollywood, the media and our education system all the songs that America is the epitome of democracy as though it were a gospel truth universally agreed that all (but it is not by far). It is so ingrained in our culture that most do not dare on this question.
The founding fathers never intended America to be a democracy and in fact do not even believe in one. Most Americans are shocked to know this. Anyone who casually researches the American form of government and its founding in the late 18th Century is seen as technically, the U.S. was not set up as a democracy but as a Constitutional Republic.
The Republic is "rule of law" and tends to be the most fair and stable form of government, protecting the rights of its citizens while limiting the power of government to a minimal level.
The first video above contains quotes from the founding fathers expressing their thoughts on democracy, you see is anything but positive.
In fact, there is no mention of the word "democracy" sa Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. Although the promise of loyalty mentioned by children in school mentions that America is a Republic;
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for at all. "
The founding fathers were intellectual elites who know their history. They know that democracy is unsustainable, for it is the essence of a policy by a gangster mob. The main flaw in a democracy is that most could not resist.
Critics of democracy use Revealing this analogy: "Democracy is like three wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner." In other words, if 51 percent of the population voted to harm or seize the assets of the other 49 percent, that's going to protect the 49 percent? It reveals the inherent flaw in democracy, that America will not dare bring light.
In fact, the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights was designed to protect you FROM a democracy! (Most Americans would whip if they heard that) For example, in a true democracy, or a "rule by majority", if most people in your town voted to seize your assets and hang you, your property is confiscated and you'd be hanged. Simple as that. But a Republic with a Constitution rights, Your rights and property are protected by law. If you are accused of anything, you are entitled to a fair trial. That's how a Republic work. And that's how it protects you from a true democracy.
The ancient Greeks tried to having a real democracy, but it failed, that lead to chaos and ultimately to the oligarchy. Even the greatest Greek philosopher, Socrates, do not believe in a true democracy. He advocated that the wisest and most sacred rule society, not the common people. The great work Plato's "The Republic", Sócrates likened to a "democracy" in crew of a ship do rebel against their captain and taking the helm. In this scenario, the ship, run by "the" mob, not well ever run or take its proper destination, as mutineers continued to argue, fight and change their mind. There would be no order. The ship was blown around by wind, so to speak.
So why is not a true democracy at work, you might ask? Well see, most people are followers, not thinkers or leaders. These are emotional, not logical or rational. Being stupid, they are changeable on a whim, quickly jump to conclusions, and not smart. A real democracy is like having a mob take control (as in Sócrates' example above) that no law or protection. It is not effective, stable nor sustainable. And besides, no logical reason to assume that the majority is always right either. As the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius said, "The things in life should not be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding onself the ranks of the insane."
Although on paper, America started as a Constitutional Republic, it gradually evolved into a form of oligarchy (rule by the elite), plutocracy (rule of the rich) and corporatocracy (rule corporate). The term is more accurate to describe America's management than the term democracy ". Any observer can see unbrainwashed why. But the elite will continue to foster democracy in religious propaganda hero instill pride and fervor the people thereof, to obtain their compliance and compliance (ironically). They see it as a "necessary illusion" as Noam Chomsky, the renowned American intellectual and critic, I'd say.
However, there are some who will try to argue that America is a "representative democracy" or a "Constitutional Democracy". And Indeed the school system uses terms like too. But this is just a game semantics and grasping at straws in an attempt to try to enter the word "Democracy" in the equation to try to verify the cherished belief that America is a democracy. But either way you look at it, America is not can be a democracy for a democracy, the rule of majority, and in America most certainly does not rule in any way, for many reasons (even we can not cover them all here). Instead, most of America is the Mass of the elite sheeple control and manipulate economic interests and their agenda.
In addition, consider the following:
1) According to polls, most Americans do not feel that they have told their government or its policies, and do not feel that their vote even matters. (So voter turnout during the election tends to be under 50 percent) There is a good reason for that. The government and the elite who run them often to act against the will of the people.
For example, most Americans did not want Vietnam War or the Iraq War, yet the U.S. leader insisted on them and they shoved down our throats, with the help of the media of course (see the film "War Made Easy "on Google Video). People also do not want higher taxes, yet the government continues to raises them.
So, if democracy is a "rule by most "then how come most people have no say in policy of producing country, either foreign or domestic? that says a lot, yet most Americans still believe the myth democracy. (Fortunately though, the surge in conspiracy movement and the internet, more Americans are starting to wake up every day)
b) According to the historical track record, even holding the office of President, whether Democrat or Republican, Conservative or Liberal, U.S. policy, both foreign and domestic, remains the same. Thus, critics liken the whole political system in a show or theater, for the powers that own the networks both parties really represent with the same interests. The system is designed to maintain the illusion of democracy, to mitigate the stupid dumbed down public.
Therefore, people are not really have a say in government policy they set. They simply are given the opportunity to elect the President every four years, and every few Congressmen and Senators years, as an illusion of some control in the democratic process. In reality though, no matter who gets elected, the power of the network (corporate giants, banking elite, the military industrial complex, secret societies, etc.) make sure they are in control. These are the real masters, not the President of the United States, only a fall guy.
Why do you think that U.S. presidents are often reneg on their campaign promises that won the election? Do you think any man likes going back to his words and breaking his promises before the population throughout the country? I do not think so. This is obviously because he had no choice, because He was not really on top of the hierarchy and can not do anything he likes. He is controlled by a "shadow network", where his real loyalty lies. If not he be in office, or he is better to submit to it if he wants to stay in office, lest he suffer the consequences (as JFK, our last real president, is, which is a warning to all that follow).
The elite only need to present the illusion of democracy mitigate The Mass. And they do this by giving you the charade of political elections, and calling it "democracy". All they have to do is control the small pool of candidates that you have to choose from, in one form or another, and they remain in power, NOT you. That's why anyone who is elected, policies (including keep) remain the same.
Of course, the elite do not themselves believe in a democracy either, for a true democracy usurp their power. Thus, they intentionally spread myths that they believe in themselves, which is both hypocritical and lying.
c) immigrants and foreigners from other countries do not usually say "Wow we have so much freedom and democracy in America where we was never in our own native country "as Hollywood portrays. Go ahead and ask them yourself. they do not come to America for its freedom or democracy, but to earn the god dollar and pursue career opportunities. In reality, most of the rest of the world does not see America as an "ideal democracy" but many see it as an ideal country for making money and pursuing higher career opportunities.
Furthermore, it is not true that most people to rest of the world want to live in America. immigrants in the U.S. are predominantly from Asia or Mexico, who came to make money, not for "freedom". In fact, a large percentage of immigrants arriving in America sad, feeling lonely and isolated and would they return to their homeland, the U.S. media not covered by the course.
See the revealing thoughts and feelings of immigrants in the United States where I've put together:
http://www.happierabroad.com/ebook/Page32.htm
Of course, America did not bother to try to explain away any major difference. Not have to. It just needs to keep the public dumbed down with mass entertainment, and busy working and consuming, to be left alone to do whatever it wants. America does not really care if you see through his lies, and it knows that dissidents will always exist. You can say or think whatever you want, as long as you do not DO anything to upset her power or agenda.
And that brings us to the next myth ...
2) "America is the freest nation on Earth. Our enemies hate our freedom, and the rest of the world envies them. "
this one really takes the cake. Even as a child in school, I always thought it was strange to continue we are told that "America is the freest country on Earth" yet I am forced to go to school, do homework every day, and you get a " Slip prevention: "If I was not in class when the bell Rang. My daily life is supposedly" free "at all, yet I was constantly told that it is, that though it is a religion.
The problem is that these fanatical claim is highly debatable, certainly not at all, and not supported by anything other than the U.S. media, Hollywood and education system. It has no real substance or basis, and it makes no sense either. This statement is more a religion than a reality.
What is especially revealing is that no one who is very well traveled believe that America is the "freest" in the world. Only those who have never left the U.S. to buy it. What does that tell you?! That in itself is very destructive to the American myth.
Now, if America is truly free, do you think it will always have to brag about it to reassure yourself? Such blatant boistering is usually a mark of insecurity or inferiority complex, not the sign of a happy free people. As one of my forum members wrote:
"As a person of intelligence does not need to say others that he is smart, a truly free society can not be said that it is free. "
In fact, America is alone in believing that this is the epitome of freedom. The rest of the world does not share this myth about America. Even fascist regimes, dictators and terrorists can not see America as a "free countries "(contrary to what Hollywood and the U.S. media misportray). Instead, they see America as an Imperial Empire trying to take away the freedom of other parts of the world, and attempting to dominate and control all the people who take advantage of their wealth! (Their made to the Native American Indians, so why do not they in other parts of the world too?)
For some reason, Hollywood and the U.S. media do not forget this bizarre stereotypical image that ALL countries outside the U.S. live under the facist regimes governed by martial law, with soldiers and machine guns pointed at all, keeping them in fear, and that America is the only free countries from all that. This is completely bogus and ridiculous, yet many Americans seriously believe it, sadly enough.
The truth is that most countries do NOT living under a facist dictatorships. But America claims to be the only country to "free" of fascism, using the worst example of dictatorial regimes in difference itself. In doing so, America is using a classic advertising technique of comparing the best of your worst side of the other part, which is a total lie and fallacy. (A more accurate and logical comparison is to compare the common examples from both sides).
American culture, media and movies hear all the time that all foreign countries under oppressive fascist regimes, while the United States alone fights for freedom and democracy. It is very wrong and do not reflect reality at all. But America does NOT deal with this fact of course, for it destroys the propaganda of the illusions that hold the country moral together.
Hollywood has also fond of portraying immigrants as idolizing all of America's freedom, and all the terrorists as jealous of America's freedom and plotting to eliminate his threat to fascism.
For example, in 1985 film starring Chuck Norris Invasion USA, an army of terrorists break in Florida during the Christmas Season. While parked in a suburban district, the leader of the terrorists look around the family celebrating Christmas in their homes, and then mutters something about "Americans enjoying their freedom" (according to the myth that America's enemies hate freedom so) before use a bazooka to blow their home. For some reason, Hollywood likes to draw America's myths rather than reality and is the epitome of the stereotypes. Call that a conspiracy if you like.
Katayin now say the concept of America as "the freest country".
What does it mean to America by of "free" itself? That you are free to do whatever you want without any laws or rules? Certainly not! For each country, in America there are many laws, regulations and controls that you must adhere to the bottom. These vary from country to country of course, but there is no evidence to suggest that America's law is more restrictive than most countries. On the contrary, government regulation is more restrictive in America, which is one reason why corporations are outsourcing, among cheaper labor costs.
In fact, in most countries, is that as long as you have money for transportation and accommodation, and you do not break any laws, you are "free" to go where you want on public lands, visit any of the attractions you want, eat, drink and be fun. So how is that any different in America? What exactly you are "free" to do in America you can not do anywhere else?
In fact, arguably, because America is one of the most expensive country in the world to live or travel, buying power is diminished there, but it were increased more than third world countries. Thus, the ability to "buy their freedom" is very diminished in the U.S.. So if you have the freedom to set by purchasing power, then the perception that the U.S. is "free lower" than the cheaper third world countries where your purchase power is much greater. Any expats living in third world countries (eg Philippines, Thailand, Costa Rica, etc) will tell you this. And sorry Hollywood and CNN, but almost none of the expats say they are "less free" outside the U.S.. In fact, they tend to say that they are "more free" outside the U.S., shatters stereotypical Hollywood's propaganda.
(You can also surprised to learn that no one I've met who's been to the Middle East report is less than free in America, despite the intense black and white Islamic law there. They are all reports that the U.S. media is a picture of the Middle East is total BS. And indeed, Arabs from the Middle East do not consider America to be "freer" than where they came from, because they define "freedom" differently. However, funnily enough, one freedom they do in the Middle East, you do not have in America, is that they show up late for a job and not worry about getting fired, they just get their pay docked.)
Here are some examples from eloquent letters expats. As you can see, they really feel freer and happier in another country. (So much for Hollywood's propaganda)
http://www.happierabroad.com/Great_Letters.htm
In addition, many countries have freedom not possible in America. For example, Holland is far more liberal laws on drugs and prostitution, and it is far more dangerous or puritannical about sex than in America. In Europe in general, there is more of a lively social scene and connectedness, giving you the "freedom" to meet more people, make more friends and socialize more, contrary to the U.S. environment where strangers are not usually talk to each other except for business purposes, where "every man is an island", where there is an "ice barrier" between strangers, and where people are paranoid of each other. In addition, in most countries, a person can flirt with a girl, woo her, or ask her out without feeling like a "creep" or "Predator", unlike in America.
To Latin America, one can dance freely or hold fiestas salsa out their place on a whim, but in America it would be inappropriate and out of bounds. Also, Russia and many other countries, can walk around outside drinking beer, while the U.S. illegally. So you see, there are many "freedom" can only outside the U.S.. So the American theory that "any possible in America would not be anywhere else cause of America is the largest in all things" is factually false.
Jeremy Rifkin, author of The European Dream, sums up the difference between the idea of "freedom" in Europe vs. America, which explains why the European concept is more evolved and progressive;
(Page 13-14)
"The American and European dreams are, at their core, about two diametrically opposite ideas of freedom and security. Americans hold a negative definition of what this means is free and, thus, safe. For us, freedom has long been associated independence. If one is independent, he does not rely on others or vulnerable to circumstances outside its control. To be independent, a requirement that property owners. The more wealth one amasses, the more independent is one of the world. One is free by becoming self-reliant and an island in itself. Wealth comes exclusivity, and exclusivity comes to security.
The new European Dream, however, is based on a different set of assumptions about what constitutes freedom and security. [B] For Europeans, freedom is not found in autonomy but in embeddedness. To be free will have access to a myriad of interdependent relationships with others. [/] B The more communities one has access to, the more options and choices one has for living a full and meaningful life. The coming of the relationship inclusivity, and inclusivity comes security. "
The popular phrase by American manga, "It's a free country" is often used to justify doing whatever they want. But it is one of the stupidest statements ever. When I was in junior high, kids to pick on me or bullied I will use the "This is a free country "excuse to do whatever they wanted me. It is completely moronic. There is no" free country "that allows the average person though what do they want, especially with others. Each country has many laws, rules and regulations. It appalls me how people easily brainwashed.
So what exactly you are "free" to do in America you can not do anywhere else? America can not answer this important question. But I'll I have a crack at it. Let's see ...
You are free to work and make more money than you can in most countries, yeah, but the high cost of living offsets. In fact, Americans are more in debt than any other country, and most Americans live paycheck to paycheck and one paycheck far from being broke. Most do not own their own homes, but have mortgaged it, making themselves slaves to the bank. The freedom?
You have individual rights under the Constitution, yeah, but in most countries, especially Europe and Australia, human rights exist too. Most countries that do not have excessive human rights abuses in the media showed us. But let's get real here. In any country, those in power looking to maintain their power and control, does not protect citizens' rights. This is the same in the U.S.. Have never could be true ethics as clean money can be used to influence and control things.
Americans like to pretend that they have freedom of speech and can They speak out against their own government and leaders of legal, not getting arrested, but in all other countries, doing so will get you arrested or shot. But again, it's true. While it is true that legally you are allowed to speak out against the government in America, the reality is also that in most countries you are allowed also the same, (although some fascist regimes) as long as you do not actually DO anything to interfere with the government's power and control.
The same applies to America. You can think what you want, engage in activism and protest, and write whatever you want (like I'm doing here), as long as you do not really get in the way of elite networks and corporatocracy to run it. If you do, you are subject to penalty or imprisonment, and if you was a popular leader capable of making big waves you might even be assassinated (eg Martin Luther King Jr, JFK, RFK).
So essentially, this is the same thing. The only difference is that the citizens of other countries can view the status of their freedom the way it is real, but the Americans Under the illusion that they have a special status as "the freest nation on Earth."
Of course, there are some countries such as communist North China or Vietnam where protest is not tolerated and leads to imprisonment, but these are extreme examples, and does NOT apply to the majority of the 200 + countries in the world. Besides, it is misleading to compare only with the worst example out there, as the U.S. media and Hollywood. It would be more accurate to compare typical example of most countries rather than the most extreme just to support your agenda, but America is not obviously, for the truth and reality is not its highest goal.
Either way, being able to legally speak out against the government will not make America the "freest nation on Earth" as his propagandists preaching. Besides, there is a lot more "freedom" is important in life than just being able to speak out against the government, which is just a matter of wide spectrum of life.
Australia and most of Europe, for example, has the same basic "freedom" that Americans do, if not more. But they do not go around of boasting that they the "freest country in the world" for all to follow, and they also invade other countries under the false pretense of fighting for freedom. They are more down to earth and real about it. It's America that has pumped up delusions that it tries to force onto other parts of the world. Americans seem to have a low complex that makes it necessary to overstate and flaunt their patriotism and importance in the world. It is a sad thing suggests a lack of real integrity within the American psyche. As I've always said, America is a very fragmented and disconnected country, both psychologically and sociologically. You can see that its citizens and the complete lack of human or social connections to its environment.
In reality, most of us conform to the schedule and activities set by others, and submit to the authority of some kind. As children we conform to the school and submit to his authority, schedules, rules and workload. As adults, we send the same to the corporation that hired us. Most are not "free" to wake up and do whatever they want, especially not an expensive workaholic country like America. That's life. So what "freedom" itself? That's the big existential questions.
Because we are all under the control of another person for the most part, in one way or another, there is no "true freedom". Most of the world realizes this. It is Americans who do not, rather than living under the illusion that they are a free country and a free people, and the rest of the world envies them and wishes them emigrate there to recover The "freedom", despite evidence to the contrary.
So why then, do Americans believe this myth about their exclusivity freedom when it has no basis in reality and makes no sense? Well I guess just that:
a) Most people are followers, not leaders, visionaries or independent thinkers. These are not to think for themselves and whatever they think is told by pitching and power. they conform to what they 've been brainwashed and programmed to, and it irresistible. Even if their indoctrinations conflict in their everyday experiences and feelings, they still hold it, though it is self-contradictory or not add up.
b) Because America is a sad country where one can only rely on themselves and society is isolating and segregated as well, in the social disconnectedness as a standard, people are going to naturally feel empty inside and need something to believe in, whether it is a religion or blind patriotism being freest country in the world. If they have no motivation not to feel proud and continue to lose customers and the slave system.
Ironically, even though you are expected to be independent and autonomous in America, you also are expected to adhere to propaganda and religious beliefs of "ordinary thinking people "mentioned above. It is a quiet hindi obstruction America bothers to solve, cause obviously, America is not interested in intellectual debates over reality, but in the pipeline, power, control and property.
c) The elite have a vested interest in promoting the illusion it. It instills pride population, dumbs them down, keep them ignorant about the rest of the world, and get them to comply with U.S. foreign policy, including The military aggression abroad (tragically) and hostile takeover of foreign land, under the guise of freedom and democracy.
This is especially the case if you are in the armed forces, in case you need to be fully indoctrinated into believing that you are fighting for freedom and democracy, to instill absolutely loyalty to you, even if in fact you are on the verge of engaging in an evil act of military aggression and hostile takeover for profit and power, bombing innnocent civilians in the process. Otherwise you would not follow the law in the fighting, risk your life or kill others if you know the truth.
3) "In America you have freedom of speech, but if you question what you said, such as religious myths above, you are considered a heretic."
In other words, "you have freedom of speech as long as you believe what you said and not question it."
This of course is ultimate loyalty and a direct opposition to the United States can not reconcile. There are many such contradictions. For example, capitalism is said to be based on Christian values and ethics, yet it teaches that greed is good but Christian Scripture clearly teaches that greed is bad. But you should not question the objects. So much for freedom of speech.
But then again, America sees freedom of speech as essentially harmless. Talking is not be hurt after all, unless of course you do something about it. And America knows that most people are not opposed. They can talk to dissident talk, but most never do anything about it, and that's the bottom line of the elite.
This is a tricky form of mind control where you have been deceived into thinking that you are free, when in reality you are mind controlled. The great American intellectual critic, Noam Chomsky, explained his Manufacturing Consent film from America does not have a totalitarian government militarily, the elite should control the Mass' thoughts instead. Thus, they is engaging in a form of "totalitarian thought control" rather than by military rule. This means that they gain control of a system or others.
4) "America starts war begins and invades the country to protect freedom and democracy or spread it. It's your patriotic duty to support all the wars America gets involved in, even if you disagree with them. "
You might think that brainwashing its citizens myths about freedom and democracy is a harmless act that just keeps the sheeple mute and voice. But it goes beyond that. The myths also serve the function of garnering public compliance when America gets involved in war or other country invades and occupies them, like Iraq, killing innocent people for profit, greed and power.
Thus, it is your duty to support all U.S. sponsored war even if it is wrong or the "bad guys" in fight. anyone not convicted of "unpatriotic" or a heretic. Even celebrities and public officials are afraid to speak out against the Iraq War for fear of jeopardizing their positions and careers. (So much for free speech) America uses a form of disease of the mind control that insinuates that if you are honest in your country, you will support all the wars and invasions, even when it is wrong or evil side. If not, you are seen as "hudas" and damage you.
In essence, what America is saying that loyalty and patriotism is above the truth, justice and even life itself. It is willing to sacrifice innocent lives, including his own, and spread lies, for his diabolical purposes. It is plain wrong as well as bad. This is the total opposite of freedom and justice. As a chilling reminder, Hitler also did the same.
In doing so, America again contradicts himself in claiming independence of speech, while at the same time you're wrong to question what it preaches. In effect, America is saying "You are free, but you must agree with all Things we say and do without question ", which is in every respect.
The elite must understand that they hide their motives for getting involved in war all the time. If the public been told the truth, that America's war is about power, greed, control and acquisition, the American people will not be willing to risk life and limb of his troops for such purposes. No way. That is why the sheeple have been deceived. The elite behind the military industrial complex know that they are lying, but believe they can get away with because they are on top of the pyramid, with a "God complex" and the "above the law". Their soul is truly lost. hopefully they will get their karma justly due.
This is especially the case for serving in the armed forces. If you watch documentaries about the lives of U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq or personnnel Naval ships stationed off the coast of Iraq, see every day they are constantly drilled into the lies and propaganda that they have to fight for freedom and democracy, and they are heros and liberators of Iraq. I pity the folks the most, for in reality it is their own life, foot and clarity of mind for greed, profit and power, that no sane person intentionally do. The military is a hierarchical organization fascist and his subjects have no choice but to conform to whatever it said. Despite their noble intentions, they are the epitome of gullibility. They have been transformed into non-thinking robots, which is a total degradation of their humanity.
The 2009 Avatar blockbuster film accurately portrays the motives of the U.S. military invasion. In the movie, the U.S. Marines was sent to an alien forest plummage world special mineral mine to sell "20 million a kilo. To do this, they have to move foreign tribes off their land to the court of their forests and reduce their main "tree of life". The movie is devoted to revealing the motives of both sides. What is unusual about this film is that the U.S. Marine Colonel is devoted to his men and told them upfront that they are fighting in minerals mined for profit, not to spread "freedom and democracy". And as you learn about with the blue alien tribe, you understand the sacredness and beauty of their lives, and the life force of the forest. Sa reveals, it becomes apparent that it is wrong and cruel to destroy it all in the name of corporate profit. Sa announced that it, the viewer's conscience naturally sides with blue alien tribes, that the victim conflict, and realizes that the U.S. military are the aggressors and "bad guys" in the fight. So the audience starts cheering when the tide of battle turns and the U.S. military starts getting wasted, because after all they are "the bad guys" in the wrong and evil side. This movie is wonderful for many reasons (like its 3D features), but it was groundbreaking as it reveals truth and life is ultimately more significant than patriotism and loyalty.
Similarly, the 1990 film dances in Wolves starring Kevin Costner depicted the same accuracy in its portrayal of the conquest of the American border. When Dunbar (Costner) bond Sioux tribe and begins to understand them and be one of them, the U.S. Cavalry was revealed for what they really are, the instruments of aggression and piracy steal land from Native Americans and create evil against innocent to achieve such ends. Understood when looking at it, he will naturally sides in the wake of the Sioux tribe. So when Dunbar were rescued by his new brothers Sioux near the end, the audience cheers as the U.S. cavalry men were taken out, which by then will see as "the bad guys."
I applaud such films for their accurate portrayal of the motives of the U.S. military, and for displaying light of truth and compassion over blind patriotism and loyalty.
Conclusion:
So you see, America's religious myths about freedom and democracy, which it considers to be the Gospel Truth and indoctrinates sa sheeple it is essentially baseless and not supported by facts or reality to casual analysis. These myths are a religion, no more. Many reasonable reasons and comparisons from ordinary examples and experiences are presented here to debunk the these myths.
America does not address the hard questions posed in this essay, by the fact that so much the fact contradicts the propaganda and myths they spread, but treats them as nonexistent. Instead, America just throws its propaganda, you know that most people will buy it and ignoring some do not (unless if they get in the way), and then offer you a lifetime of pursuing a career (aka being a corporate slave), gone to help the economy, and dumbs down in the way of mass entertainments. That's all the Americans alive. This is not about reality or answering the hard questions. It's about serving the pipeline system and corporatocracy. If you do not like it, America does not care, until you get into the system.
Conlude what we can then, based above all, is that "freedom" and "government by the people" are illusions. They do not have to actually exist. The public needs Please give the illusion of freedom and democracy.
But unfortunately for America and the controllers, reality tends to be bright and early or surface late. Every time the public finds out that they've been lied to, their confidence in the government greatly decreases. no trust, foundations crumble, just like we are seeing in America recently. That's how great empires fall, like Rome. They fall within the first. We are starting to see that happening in the American Empire, as more and more yet its citizens become disillusioned with it.
In short, America is reaping the consequences of his self-destructive behavior and manner, and in due time, the consequences of his deceptions and propaganda to its own population is revealed as well, like the truth finally came out. That is, unless it decides to make compensation and change her way of exploiting others for profit, power and gain, and using lies and myths cover for its crimes and wrongdoings.
But alas, people do not want to change their ways, especially if they are on top of the pyramid, in cases where they have a vested self-interest maintaining the status of the former.
The Roman Empire was also imperial, conquering the land belonging to others to expand its power and control by military aggression, and forcing others to submit to his totalitarian regime. The difference is that Rome was honest about his intentions and goals, but America not. Instead, U.S. imperialism is its claims about promoting freedom and democracy. That is why America does not want to refer to himself as an "Empire" or use the world "Imperial" to describe himself, for such rules contradict its self-ascribed myth that it stands for freedom and democracy (But in reality of course, it stands for power, acquisition, control, domination and greed).
It is a pity that America will not see the wisdom of one of his own parables children known as The Boy Who Cried Wolf, who teaches that the consequences of lying is the destruction of one's own reality and lack of trust from others. If America has heeded this simple parable, it is in the mess it is today. But of course, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. We have seen throughout history, and America is no exception.
The game of America's elite has always been to summarize by population while at the same time maintaining the illusion freedom and democracy. This is a good game is self-contradictory, intelligent freethinkers can easily see through. As a result, the elite have to find ways to weaken the public, they dumb down and distract them. They have done this by segregating people, making paranoid citizens of each, emphasizing competitiveness, and distracting you mindless mass entertainment and promoting a ferocious consumer lifestyle.
But alas, they are playing a losing game and losing their grip. God only knows what they resort to the next. Those in power did not give it up easily, and not go down without a fight sin. We hope that any changes, or revolutions global awakenings that come the next will occur through a peaceful transformation.
I also pray that the public becomes aware, enlightened, intellectual and intelligent, so that history does not repeat itself (as it usually is in the past). As someone once said, "People do not know history are condemned to repeat it." Hopefully, the free flow of information on the internet will help make that possible.

PS - If you want to start down the path of being a Freethinking intellectual, we like, let me warn you first though, it comes with consequences as well as benefits. (Although this may not be a conscious choice on your part, but rather a realization of what you will) By being one, you certainly have a richer inner life that others do not have, and you can see and learn things at a deep level and that common people can not. You will also get the freedom to rise above the programming and conditioning of society, where the common people do not even know existed. You can see things the way they are real, rather than how you are programmed to.
However, you will find it hard to fit into social groups and circles, deep down for an intellectual does not like to "conform" to a thing, for consent is the opposite of freethought. Also, you will find yourself looking down on ordinary people, who are usually conformists and follow the package, as ignorant sheeple do, so you really will feel like you belong or fit in with them. For you, the average person will seem like zombies. So it is difficult for you to remain humble, like arrogance and snobbiness can be part of your soul.
You can often find yourself apart from others, engaging them only for superficial greeting or socializing. This means that you will find some people in life that can really relate to you. Even though that the ignorant can an instinctual awareness vibes level, and they are aware that you are somehow "different" than them, vibrating sa a different frequency. However, because like attracts like, you will surely find others like you from time to time, by events and coincidences. But you are not connecting with people.
In addition, being able to see things that others can not and know things others do not, you find yourself irritated others flaws and discrepancies do not get hung up on. Sometimes the "ignorance is bliss" after all. Others may notice as "anal retentive" for noting imperfections do not matter to them.
An expat friend of mine, also a freethinker, had this to say in my Forum about a Freethinking intellectual life;
"Why the government is willing to properly educate the Mass? They would lose their power in the government then why the average person is able to see all of their lies and fallacies. realize they have a small percent will start their uterus and they will either be ostracized from mainstream society or they are brought into the circle of power as one of their own.
To break away from either the label takes a strong sense of purpose and some sort of divine intervention agreement before birth and affiliate life. There will always be people like this that break the mold, but society in general do not realize their greatness until they have past the Earth plane. Individual that is well ahead of whatever is happening in society are the ones that keep society moving forward, but are often ridiculed in the process of trying to make others see the light. Most people do not have the ability to visualize what the future will bring, or do they cause a false sense of them in the future with their current preconceived notions of reality.
A true visionary sets themselves apart from the mainstream and it is not hurt by debris comments their people. "
That being said, if you seek to find an intellectual or majority population, your best chance, in my experience, would be in Europe, where knowledge, culture, education and generosity seem to the highest level.
