For travel to the Philippines as a tourist for a month, what kind of visa I need?
I know that I can go to the Philippines for to 21 days without applying for a visa before arrival there, but how do I get a visa that will allow me to stay in Angeles City, Philippines for a month before I get there? Do it best to just go there and go to the Consulate and apply for a visa for the time I wanted to stay, and pay only the fees?
You can get a 59 day visa from the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC for about $ 30. Check their website and download their forms and instructions. You can get extensions while you have the 21-day deal but its always overpriced and involves graft and corruption. DO NOT overstay your 21 day stamp and expect to pay a few bucks when you leave. They do not do that any more. That some bucks is a pouch and government is trying to control the problem. They have announced that you are not allowed to just slide a few coins and board your flight. Do not risk it.
