scholarships for med school in the Philippines?
I am a third year college student taking up biology and I want to pursue a career in medicine. of course, like anyone, I want to get a good and reputable school ... established institutions, if you can (think: UST, UP-PGH, St Lukes and ASMPH). but, also, education in schools prestige that come with price not all afford. does anyone know where to ask for scholarships (both from private and public sector / government)? what are the requirements for the award? Who can I contact if I am interested in availing / applying for one?

hi. I graduated from a pre-med degree. i wanted to pursue med school and wrote to various foundations (literally straight from the yellow pages); some response. So I'm suggesting you do the same; the advent of the internet, it may be easier. Anyway, as I recall, the foundation that wrote back was: Metrobank, phil-chi chamber of commerce, BPI (forgot some). Some even wrote to say they do have scholarships etc. and like me good luck. The foundation / company is chosen randomly on my part. Remmber the answers are criterias / requirements attached. I will not pursue med school, but am enjoying my job in Pharma sales. if you really want to go to med school, go for it. only aggressive in pursuing the scholarship. seal spend money / time online. good luck!
