I want to marry a woman from the Philippines and bring him to the U.S. on a fiance visa for marriage. Advice?

I have met a woman from the Philippines on the internet. We video chatted every day for quite a while now, exchange emails, photos and talked on the phone, - we know a lot about each other. I am 66, retired, divorced with grown children. He was 53, also divorced aged children. He holds a Masters in Public Administration and worked for 33 years as a government social worker. He will soon graduate with a degree RN - her lifelong dream. Quite an intelligent woman. We want to get married, so plan I travel to the Philippines for its beginning, met her family and friends, and give him a ring. After returning to the U.S., I'll need to file papers to bring him here on a fiance visa for our wedding. He wants to work here in the medical field. We understand that love can be a gift, but marriage requires work and we are both up to work. We want any and all advice, pitfalls we may encounter in the process of immigration, or just comments or encouragement. Thank you.

well, 1st of all congratulations! everything sounds ok, although I might have to ask you to look the circumstances regarding his "divorce." You see, there is no law of divorce in the Philippines. The closest it would be a legal separation / annulment granted by the courts. If he was a Catholic and she got married in church, it is a very rare thing granted a divorce (in this country) by of the Church, which came all the way from the Vatican. If you mean that he is legally separated from his wife, no problem with a civil marriage, but a church wedding could not have been possible.
